Since BWT was founded in 2013, we have provided 1,023 artistic opportunities to 213 different Breakthrough Artists over 69 projects.  With these small-cast projects, we know that we will not be able to offer participation to everyone interested, but we will do our very best to facilitate as many breakthroughs as possible for as many artists as possible.

As with all BWT projects, we encourage and celebrate a wide range of artists of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels and every role we are casting this round is open to ANYONE. If you are interested in being considered, please read through this form carefully and fill it out completely.

When Dorothy finds herself in the Land of Oz, she knows she has to find a way back home to Kansas. Embarking on a funny and fast-paced journey, Dorothy meets new friends along the way, and together, they travel down the yellow brick road to the fabled Emerald City to meet the Great Oz. Presented by Breakthrough Workshop Theatre, this imaginative adaptation of THE WIZARD OF OZ captures the heart of the beloved and classic tale, reminding us that the greatest breakthroughs can often be discovered within ourselves.
Do you want to be considered as a Breakthrough Artist for "The Wizard of Oz"? Please select all positions of interest.
To facilitate as many breakthroughs as possible for as many artists as possible, we may not be able to offer participation for all projects you are interested in. If you have indicated your interest in both of these projects, please list them in order of preference here.
Breakthrough Workshop Theatre is not a traditional theatre company.  We are an education-focused nonprofit that uses projects such as staged readings and musical concerts to facilitate individualized artistic and/or personal "breakthroughs," established by our artists of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels at the beginning of each process.  We are continuously pushing our artists to challenge themselves and approach these vulnerable and inspiring processes with an open mind and heart, so think of that as you answer the last question.
Whether this would be your 1st time with BWT or your 25th, please briefly share why you are inspired to join us during our 2023 season. *
