September - Hoedown Hootenanny
This event has been completed this year, but it will return again next year... watch for it !

A hootenanny is a party, most generally one that is well,.. chock full of hoot, with just a little bit of nanny. And a Hoedown is a jig like dance typically enjoyed at a hootenanny… ours is called the “Piggy Jig” Barnyard scene props and stuffed farm animals will set the scene and invite exploration and animal pretend play. Appalachian style instruments will be the set for our Family Jam. Families will enjoy sounding and moving like farm animals, as well as songs and activities about farm life, including a train that runs through the back fields. We end off with a called Family LINE DANCE.

Home Materials Kit includes: ”Best of Kindermusik, Vol.2″ CD (or digital download card), Hootenanny Activity Sheet, and set of rhythm spoons.

Suggested clothing for PHOTO op: overalls or farmyard outfits and bandanas, possibly with accents of farm animals, etc.

September 9 - Friday
September 10 - Saturday
October - Pumpkin Party !
This event has been completed this year, but it will return again next year... watch for it !

Explore different sizes of real pumpkins, and pumpkin alternatives to get a real feel for sizes and weights. Scene props include yarn vines, jack-o-lantern bells, and more. Ms. Debbie makes the reading of “The Biggest Pumpkin Ever” by Steven Kroll an interactive event. We make instruments out of pumpkin seeds, and musically “grow” a pumpkin garden. Children enjoy lap bounce, finger plays and dances about pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, scarecrows and more.
Nothing scary – this is NOT a Halloween event.

Home Materials Kit includes: Digital download card, with playlist to download 10 songs, Pumpkin Party Activity Sheet, pumpkin craft, and a real baby pumpkin.

Suggested clothing for PHOTO op: overalls or gardening outfits, orange outfits, possibly with accents of pumpkins, gardens, etc.

November - Frolicsome Fall
Aaah... yes, here we are... FALL. Enrollment is open for all event times.

“Autumn leaves are falling down, falling, falling, falling down.” - literally, in our classes, child safe fabric leaves will be falling down, just ready for frolicsome play and delightful pictures. We also celebrate many other icons that put the AWE in Autumn, including migrating birds, and Native American songs and instruments. Enjoy the “Duck Dance” rhythms through drums and dance !

Home Materials include: Digital download card, with playlist to download 10 songs, Frolicsome Fall Activity Sheet, and some colorful leaves.

Suggested clothing for PHOTO op: fall weather outfits, possibly with accents of leaves, bare trees, birds, feathers, etc.

November 11 - Friday (Veterans Day)
November 12 - Saturday
December - Winter Wonderland
Looking forward to experiencing the next season through music and movement. Register in ADVANCE and save your spot!

“Cold winds blow, and bring us snow…” Hahahaha - YES, even here in Central Florida! It is our own brand of snow play that is not so cold, but still a lot of fun. Explore the soft and crunchy feel of Ms. Debbie’s “Snowtime Anytime Snowballs” (yep, look ‘em up online), and see many of the ways you can make your own snow for extending the fun at home. We dim the lights for a nighttime snowfall, then rise with the lights to make snow angels, shuffle and play around in the snow, slide around with jingle bells on our “sleighs”, make snow piles on willing friends, and even use white bags to fill with snow to make… and decorate… our snowmen ! And DANCE like snowmen ! Then the snow gets cleared by our active little zambonies, and we skate around on the ice to the “Skater’s Waltz”.

Home Materials include: ”Winter Wonderland” CD (or digital download card), Winter Wonderland Activity Sheet, snowflakes, and a little bag of “SnoWonder” Instant Snow – for more realistic snow fun at home.

Suggested clothing for PHOTO op: RED, or dark blue outfits and cold weather wear (scarf, gloves, hat), possibly with accents of snow, snowflakes, snowman, etc.

December 9 - Friday
December 10 - Saturday
Suggestions: Dates / Times / Locations
Please add your thoughts about additional days of the week and times that may work for you. If we can get at least 6 families interested, I will do my best to schedule something that will work. Please feel free to suggest potential locations you would like to have a Playdate scheduled. I will attempt to connect with them and make it work.
