PRIMARY SCHOOLS -SGO Offer 2021/22
60% of children and young people are still not doing the recommended daily activity levels, and to address this statistic, the SGO role is currently undergoing a complete overhaul. School Games and LYG have shifted the focus away from elite pathway events and SGOs are now encouraged to plan a bespoke borough offer based on local needs.

We will continue to offer competitive opportunities where there are gaps in current provision rather than duplicate events. The more popular events which offer a competitive element to a wide range of abilities will remain, but we will also be looking to diversify the offer with less traditional sports and activities.

We want to give as many pupils as possible the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sports and activities to create positive relationships with physical activity for life. We will look to make the offer as inclusive and diverse as possible but will look for opportunities which will include specific target groups such as SEND, BAME, girls, low socio-economic groups and transition groups (Y3 & Y7/8).

In order to plan a bespoke offer that meets the needs of all schools in Sutton, it is very important that we have as much input from as many stakeholders as possible.

Please complete this questionnaire by Wednesday 15th September.

Many thanks

PROPOSED NEW ACTIVITIES FOR 2021/22 FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS
The ideas below are being proposed as potential new events to attract a different cohort of pupils.
Please tick any events that your school would be interested in attending, or receiving resources to be able to deliver within school (where possible). *
Required
Please write down any further suggestions for events, sports and activities that you would like to see on the calendar.
We intend to keep a few VIRTUAL COMPETITIONS OR CHALLENGES alongside  face-to-face events as these can involve whole year groups and include schools that find it hard to take children to external events. If you have any ideas for any virtual competitions or challenges please list them below.
Would you be happy to host an event in your school? *
If answered 'yes' or 'maybe' to the above question - which sports or activities might you be able to host?
Thank you for completing this questionnaire. I look forward to planning an exciting new programme for your students.
