Games, Originality, and Intellectual Property Interviews
Hi! My name is Tommy Rousse and I'm a JD and PhD student at Northwestern University. Before moving back to Chicago, I completed an MSc. in Game Analysis & Design at ITU Copenhagen and learned a lot about games culture.
Part of my dissertation explores community and cultural norms in video game creation. I'm looking for people throughout the industry in different roles and different levels of experience to interview about their knowledge of intellectual property and what they think about originality and cloning.
The goal of this research is to identify mismatches between the expectations of game developers and the legal system. Hopefully, it will contribute to a better understanding of the games community that's useful to members of the industry and legal practitioners.
If you're willing to help, please answer a few quick questions below. I will get in touch to schedule a thirty to forty-five minute interview by videochat or telephone.
Contact info collected below will only be used to set up interviews or distribute surveys related to this project. I won't sell it or share it with anyone. Thanks!
