Chesapeake Heartland's Interpreting African American History Survey
Disclaimer: the survey begins after the following consent information.

The purpose of this survey is to better understand how current and future Chesapeake Heartland users prefer to navigate and use a digital archive as well as what content they would find most interesting or useful. Your participation will help guide our digitization and web development efforts moving forward.

The survey contains 19 questions exploring your thoughts on the interpretation of African American history as well as demographic questions about your age, race, and gender. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Participants must be 18 years or older to fill out a survey.

This community curated digital archive proactively welcomes community participation, seeking to build an archival space that is inclusive and welcoming. To that end, we thank you for your time, ideas, and feedback.

Prior to taking the survey, it may be helpful to spend some time exploring content within the Chesapeake Heartland Digital Archive or take a look at the project’s About page.

Your participation in this survey is entirely voluntary and you may skip any questions or stop participation at any time. You may also pause at any time to send us any questions you may have (questions or feedback can be sent to Dr. Pat Nugent at pnugent2@washcoll.edu or Darius Johnson djohnson6@washcoll.edu). Information related to your identity will never be included in any sort of report and the data from this survey will only be made accessible to those working on the project.
