Each year, the NH Council of Churches recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to advancing justice, equity, and compassion in our communities. Please use this form to submit the names and accomplishments of those who exemplify our mission and values.  Narratives are requested to be between 300-1000 words. Nominees must live in New Hampshire. If you would like to nominate multiple people for awards, please use a separate from for each nomination.

The Inclusive Love Award

 The Inclusive Love Award honors a member of the clergy who exemplifies the NH Council of Churches’ mission by actively engaging in the public arena on political issues that advance justice for all or prevents unjust legislation from becoming law. This award recognizes those who have taken bold, consistent stands for justice.  This person often inspires others to join in the call to action. The recipient of this award demonstrates unwavering commitment to advocating for the worth and dignity of every individual. Through their courageous witness, they foster an expansive understanding of love and mobilizes their community to work together for a shared vision of a beloved community.

The Compassionate Heart Award

The Compassionate Heart Award celebrates an individual from the business community or an institutional partner of the NH Council of Churches who demonstrates an exceptional commitment to our mission. This award acknowledges those who have made significant contributions to fostering inclusivity, equity, and justice within their professional spheres. The recipient exemplifies leadership in modeling ethically driven and community-focused business practices, serving as an inspiration to others. Their dedication to creating a more just and compassionate society reflects the core values of the NH Council of Churches.

The Faithful Witness Award

The Faithful Witness Award recognizes an individual who is deeply engaged in direct advocacy efforts advancing equity and justice. This award honors those who are at the forefront of impactful and transformative initiatives, demonstrating unwavering dedication to creating a more just and equitable society. The recipient actively champions the cause of equity through persistent and effective action, serving as a powerful voice for marginalized communities. Their commitment to advocacy reflects the core mission of the NH Council of Churches and inspires others to join in the pursuit of justice.
