Write Together: Field Trips at 826NYC

Please fill out this form to let us know about the field trip you would like to book! We will review your responses and be in touch regarding scheduling as soon as possible.

826NYC's Write Together field trips are available in-person as well as online. We're excited to work with you and your young authors to craft novel adventures, compelling characters, and unexpected twists and turns!

Trips are 120 minutes and are available Monday-Thursday, 10:30am-12:30pm.  If you have specific scheduling needs, please indicate this in the final question on this form ("Anything else?") and we will follow up regarding your request.

Basic details for Write Together IN-PERSON trips: 
  • Cost: $250 for Title 1 schools, and $500 for all other schools.
       >>>  Please note that this is a flat fee and is not dependent on how many students attend.
  • Trips meet at our center in Park Slope: 372 Fifth Avenue, Brooklyn.
  • Please note that our space can only accommodate 1 class at a time, and we have a maximum capacity of 35 students.
Basic details for Write Together VIRTUAL field trips: 
  • Cost: $100 for Title I schools, and $250 for all other schools.
       >>>  Please note that this is a flat fee and is not dependent on how many students actually participate.
  • Available via Zoom or Google Meet.
  • 826NYC will mail you a book kit in advance of your trip!
  • Please note that this is a highly participatory workshop, so for virtual field trips we are also limited to one class per field trip.

How many trips are you/your school requesting? *
Each participating class will need to schedule a separate trip - so if you want 3 classes to participate, you should select 3 trips. 
How many field trips does your school need to book in order to participate? 

We ask because due to high demand there is usually a maximum of 3 trips per school, but we are always happy to consider exceptions.

Example: My school can only participate if we can book trips for all 5 fourth-grade classes.
Example: My school would prefer to have 6 classes participate but we can still come if only 3 or fewer classes are scheduled.
How many students do you want to have participate? 
Please note that our space can only accommodate 1 class at a time (about 35 students), so if you want to bring 3 classes that will need to be 3 separate field trips. Similarly for Write Together on Zoom, this is a highly participatory workshop so we will only work with 1 class at a time.
