The 2019 Solidarity Trip is planned for approximately June 23 to July 14 (subject to minor changes depending on flight availability). While it is our hope that all participants will be able to commit to the full three weeks, we know this may not be possible.

Requirements for consideration**

• Interested in and sensitive to social justice issues in developing countries
• Willing to discuss possible volunteer opportunities with Heart-Links
• In good health and fitness
• 18 years of age or older

**Exceptions to these requirements may be made, on a case-by-case basis, at the discretion of the trip committee.

I understand that by applying for the Solidarity Trip I am not guaranteed a position on the team.

I understand that I will be required to attend up to three planning gatherings (Saturdays between March and June).

I understand that I will be required to pay: 1) My own flights to and from and within Peru (estimated cost $1,500); and 2) A trip fee of $1,500 that covers the cost of the trip leader, group translators, accommodations, meals in Peru and ground transportation during the trip. This fee may be eligible for a charitable tax receipt.

I understand that my passport must be valid to the end of February of the year following my trip.

I will submit 2 letters of reference as outlined above at my earliest convenience.
