The Supporters Society Committee is inviting nominees for election as the Club's Chair, a Club Board director position. The elected Club Board director will serve until the 2027 Society AGM.
Members may nominate themselves for election as Club Chair by submitting a statement of 200-400 words by midnight 30 May 2024. You must be a paid-up member of the Supporters Society in order to be eligible to stand.
Nominations must also be proposed and seconded by other Society members. Please state proposer and seconder's names and email addresses below (we will contact them to confirm, they do not need to send in a form.)
Nominations will then be considered by a small panel of Society Committee members to ensure that those standing have the requisite skills and experience. You may be invited to have a conversation with this panel to make sure that you understand the nature of the role and commitment.
Once nominations are approved, the Supporters Society will then distribute candidate statements, along with ballots, to all members no later than two weeks before the AGM. All Society members will then be able to vote by post or online before the AGM on 26 June 2024.
If there are more candidates than there are vacancies, members will be able to vote for as many candidates as there are vacancies, with the highest-placed candidates being elected.
If there are the same number as or fewer candidates than there are vacancies, members will be able to vote “yes” or “no” for each candidate. Each candidate who receives a majority of “yes” votes will be elected.
