Join the cohort of Creature Stewards and gather on
Third Saturdays from March through October. Deepen your faith practice by reading the Book of Creation side by side with Holy Scriptures. Learn the arts of livestock/crop integration and wildlife habitat management. Good Courage Farm is home to chickens, ducks, goats, peafowl, horses, and countless species of wild birds, mammals, amphibians, insects, and microbes. Each plays a role in the flourishing of the land.
Each Saturday consists of morning coffee (with treats from the farm!), lectio divina (shared reading and reflection on Scripture), learning and working in the vineyard, midday prayer and lunch, time for solo and group reflection.
Participants who sign up will get detailed information by email. Here are the basics and the dates for 2025:
Field days are one Saturday per month, March - October (It's okay if you can't make every month...)
The day begins at 9:00 a.m. at Good Courage (Hutchinson, Minnesota) and ends at 3:00 p.m.
We encourage faith communities to organize a committed group of 8-12 participants. This helps us plan the work of the farm, even with varied attendance, and allows for carpooling! If you aren't connected to a faith community, no worries. Individual participants are welcome!
All tools are provided. Participants bring a bag lunch.
