NLVan 3 tot en met 8 juni is het Moving Media Lab te gast bij DansBrabant in Tilburg.
In dit lab worden de mogelijkheden van nieuwe technologie, beweging en het lichaam binnen de kunsten, ontwerppraktijk en wetenschap onderzocht. 14 makers uit Nederland zijn geselecteerd voor het traject, met de mogelijkheid om gezamenlijk een onderzoeksproject te ontwikkelen op basis van hun gedeelde interesses en diversiteit in vaardigheden, terwijl ze nieuwe tools en kennis opdoen door middel van verschillende workshops, masterclasses en lezingen van experts uit het veld.
Voor het lab in Tilburg vroegen we Wessel Verrijt, beeldend kunstenaar met een fascinatie voor beweging, en Courtney May Robertson, choreograaf en danser met zwak voor beeld, om samen met de deelnemers de wereld van lichaam en vormgeving te verkennen. Op welke manier verhoudt het lijf zich tot objecten? Hoe krijg je statische materie in beweging? Een week lang wordt onze Club SoDa omgebouwd tot knutselclub en uitvinderslab.
Op 7 juni, om 17.00, delen de deelnemers in ateliersetting hun uitkomsten-tot-dan-toe met publiek. Een vrolijke chaos van nieuwe vondsten, onaffe experimenten en doordachte concepten.

From 3 to 8 June, the Moving Media Lab will be the guest of DansBrabant in Tilburg.
This lab will explore the possibilities of new technology, movement and the body within the arts, design practice and science. 14 makers from the Netherlands were selected for the track, with the opportunity to jointly develop a research project based on their shared interests and diversity of skills, while gaining new tools and knowledge through various workshops, master classes and lectures by experts in the field.
For the Tilburg lab, we asked Wessel Verrijt, visual artist with a fascination for movement, and Courtney May Robertson, choreographer and dancer with a weakness for image, to explore the world of body and design with the participants. In what ways does the body relate to objects? How do you get static matter to move? For a week, our Club SoDa will be transformed into a crafting club and inventors' lab.
On 7 June, at 5pm, in a workshop setting, participants will share their outcomes-until then-with an audience. A merry chaos of new finds, unfinished experiments and thoughtful concepts.
