45 days or more prior to the departure date you will receive a refund minus a $100.00 per person handling fee.  

44 – 31 days prior to the departure date a 50% forfeiture penalty will apply unless there is a waiting list and your space is resold, in which only the $100.00 handling fee will apply.  

30 days prior to the departure date results in no refund unless there is a waiting list and your space is resold, in which only the $100.00 handling fee will apply.

South of the Border Tours, LLC (SOTBT) is responsible to the participants for supplying services and accommodations offered to the participants as stated herein. However, as to all services furnished, including motorcoach transportation, in absence of their negligence, the operator, it’s retail agents and cooperation organizations, each and all expressly disclaim all damage, loss, or injury to property or person due to any cause whatsoever occurring during a tour under their management, sponsorship, procurement, or otherwise.  

SOTBT shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages or losses (including death, personal injury and property loss) caused to any traveler in connection with terrorist activities, social or labor unrest, theft, vandalism, mechanical or construction failures or difficulties, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, abnormal conditions, or developments, or any other action, omissions or conditions outside SOTBT control.  

TOUR ITINERARY IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.  

SOTBT reserves the right to change tour components or alter the itinerary (either before departure or en route), and to make any other changes deemed necessary to carry out and maintain the quality of the tour in good faith to the participants. SOTBT also reserves the right to cancel the tour prior to departure for any reason, including insufficient participation.  

SOTBT liability is limited to refunding of monies received by client.  The refund of all payments received shall release SOTBT from any further obligation or liability. SOTBT reserves the right to remove a participant if conduct becomes injurious to the pleasure and welfare of other participants. If a participant is removed because of misbehavior, the participant must return home at his/her own expense and no refund is made for unused services.      
  

Rates are determined based on age and tour cost.  Insurance should be purchased within 14 days of paying your tour deposit. By doing so, you will have the best coverage options to choose from.   Your premium (cost) is based on policy choice and can cover trip cancellation and interruption, travel delay, medical expense, Emergency Medical Transportation and other useful benefits.  Travel insurance is a contract between you and the travel insurance vendor.  The policy is very useful should you have a medical condition that may require you to cancel the tour, or should you require emergency medical evacuation.  You are not required to use Allianz.  Any travel insurance company can be used to protect you in case of emergency.  You can visit their website at www.allianztravelinsurance.com or call 800-284-8300. South of the Border Tour's identification number (ACCAM number) is F029755.  It is not mandatory to purchase travel insurance, however, we strongly encourage you to do so to protect you in the event you need to cancel.
