OCS Survey (2025–26) | ASSU
The Graduate Student Council (GSC) and the Undergraduate Senate (UGS) have received ongoing reports of troubling experiences in Stanford’s disciplinary process through the Office of Community Standards (OCS).

These include:
  • Being denied the opportunity to raise relevant defenses,
  • Lack of transparency in the investigation process, and
  • Shifting or unclear procedures not based in the OCS Charter.
Last year, the GSC passed a bill in support of students’ due process rights and called for immediate procedural reforms. Unfortunately, the OCS has yet to address these concerns.

Jointly, we’re now launching a student support and reporting initiative. If you have ever:
  • Been a respondent in an OCS case,
  • Know someone who has been involved in an OCS case, or
  • Have concerns about how the process operates.
We encourage you to complete our survey.

You may remain anonymous if you wish. You’ll also have the option to request help or guidance with an ongoing OCS process. This form will also remain open throughout the entire academic year and will serve as a central tool to inform and justify advocacy efforts by the Graduate Student Council and Undergraduate Senate.

The Graduate Student Council and Undergraduate Senate believe no student should go through this system unsupported. Thank you for speaking up and helping to build a fairer system.
