The Ring Readers initiative was created as a way to engage audiences in reading and discussing new plays and to offer valuable feedback to playwrights as they refined their work.
The Readers program has been expanded into the New Play Lab, which features an intensive peer-to-peer development of selected plays with writing mentor and New Play Lab Director, Leslie Pasternack.
Mid-way through the development process, our Ring Readers are invited to join a Zoom conversation with each playwright, moderated by Leslie.
After that, the revisions continue and the process culminates in the reading of each work in front of a live audience. Staged readings are followed by talkbacks for further feedback.
Although we do hope you'll want to actively participate every time, signing up as a Ring Reader does NOT mean you'll have to join each and every play discussion. We will keep you up to date with all upcoming events, and you will choose when you wish to participate!
