About Hotel: The hotel opened as the Lido Spa in 1960. Since then, the owners have worked to preserve the iconic Art Deco style of the main building as much as possible. The property underwent a major renovation in 2005 & 2021, though, and the Standard Spa Miami Beach is currently owned by Barry Sternlicht, who purchased the property in late 2021—the billionaire is known for creating the 1 Hotel brand, and previously led Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide.
The spa Two words: Turkish Hammam. It’s not often that you’ll find the option in the States, and this is probably one of the most popular spas in town; hence the callout in the hotel's name. Every inch of the spa area is worth a photo, and while your phone will likely be downstairs in your assigned locker, you’ll surely want to sneak back after your service to document it. Guests of the hotel can use some complimentary spa amenities with their stay: Put together your own spa experience in the mud lounge, and enjoy the arctic plunge pool or a hot tub with a Roman waterfall—all without having to book a treatment.
