Welcome to Alexandra’s Army! Founded as a kid-led initiative right here in Bloomington, our nonprofit organization is dedicated to mobilizing the community to fight hunger and support the Hoosier Hills Food Bank. Our mission is to unite kids of all ages across Monroe County to coordinate neighborhood food drives, proving that young people can make an incredible impact when they stand together. Every non-perishable item collected goes directly to feeding local families, seniors, and children in need, teaching our members the value of community leadership while actively building local food security.

To help your child have a safe, confident, and highly successful experience, please take a moment to watch the 4-minute training video together with your participant before hitting the streets. This quick guide, outlines our official neighborhood outreach protocols and best practices. It will walk you and your child through exactly how to attach information sheets to doorknobs using painter's tape, how to safely canvas a street while maintaining a respectful distance, and how to easily answer neighbor questions regarding food items, scheduling, or making monetary donations.
