The Peoria Riverfront Museum encourages students, pre-k to university level, to experience hands-on art, science, history, and achievement.

Your students will have the opportunity to see engaging exhibitions and Dome Planetarium shows, view educational films on the Giant Screen Theater, and participate in educational workshops.

Funded Classrooms and Schools will not be charged for field trips, please continue completing this online registration form in its entirety to schedule your funded field trip.

Field Trip Basic Policies
Reservations must be made two weeks in advance. 

The cost of the field trip depends on what programs the students receive. The first program costs $5 per student. Each additional experience costs $3.50 per student. The average field trip consists of either a planetarium show or an educational film and a guided tour of the galleries. It costs $12 per student. 

For every five students, one free teacher/chaperone is admitted free of charge. Additional chaperones cost $5 each. 

Field trips can begin at either 9 am, 10 am, or 12 pm and last approximately two hours. If the group needs a space to eat a sack lunch, they must request it at the time of reservation. 

The gift shop and concession stand are not available to students without chaperones. We ask that if your group wishes to take advantage of either area, you provide notice at the time of reservation. 
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be in writing (via email) or by phone no less than 48 hours before your scheduled arrival. Organizations failing to cancel a field trip within 48 hours will be billed 50% of the confirmed amount. 

Field trips canceled due to weather can be rescheduled at no additional cost. 
Field trips canceled due to quarantine restrictions or COVID-19 can be canceled at no cost.
