Walton 8th Grade Night
John A. Jeffres, Director of Bands Brian Westphal, Associate Director

Each year the Walton Band invites all 8th grade band students from both Dodgen and Dickerson to join them for an evening of fun and music making at a home football game! The music will be rehearsed and prepared in class at Dodgen. Here are the details:

When: Friday, October 5th. Drop off is at 5:45. The event will conclude around 10:00 PM.

Where: Drop Off is at the front entrance of Walton High School. Coming from Dodgen, take the first left AFTER the stop sign and drive up to the circular drive of the main entrance. Pick up is in the same location, once the game is over. If you need to pick up your child earlier, you must park and walk into the stadium and pick up your child from the band section. Once your child sees you, YOUR CHILD MUST CHECK OUT with a band director, so we know they are leaving safely with you!

Paperwork: All students must have on file the Blanket Permission Form, which also includes medical information. The Blanket Permission Form is a one-time form, that covers you for all band activities for the year.

Other details: Wear comfortable clothes (long pants such as jeans, and closed toe shoes such as sneakers) and a Dodgen Band shirt (Spirit shirt OR polo). A Walton Band T-shirt will be provided for free once we get there.
