Open letter by the Sex Work Autonomous Committee
The Sex Work Autonomous Committee (SWAC) is a political organization project by and for sex workers based in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal, unceded Indigenous lands where the Kanien’kehà:ka Nation is recognized as the custodians of the lands and waters). Our main demand is the full decriminalization of sex work in Canada in order to recognize sex work as work, remove unwanted and unsolicited interactions with law enforcement from the lives of sex workers, and obtain better working conditions in the industry. For more information about our demands and our community mobilization efforts, consult our website and publications : https://cats-swac-mtl.org/en/landing-page/.

This letter can be signed by individuals or as an organization. It will be published on March 3rd, 2022,  International Sex Worker Rights Day. On this occasion, we invite you to participate in a rally organized by SWAC, in Montreal. We also invite other Canadian sex worker rights groups to organize their own rallies in their cities, to help help build political momentum.
