Library Systems and Services (LS&S), an out-of-town, for-profit firm owned by Argosy (a corporate hedge fund) assumed management of the Escondido Public Library on January 15, 2018 after the Escondido City Council voted 4-1 to outsource library services and contract with LS&S for 10 years.
