Statewide Camporee Volunteer Application

Areas to Serve:
Volunteer Coordinator: Lead volunteers, hold a volunteer meeting at the beginning o shifts and make assignments as needed. Should be an adult over the age of 21. Prior to camporee you'll work with council staff to make volunteer assignments. After camporee you'll debrief with council staff, make suggestions for the next camporee and write thank you notes.
Adventure Team: You'll assist during adventure programming by putting participants in harnesses, belaying (if trained to do so) walking participants to and from their courses, etc. Volunteers must be 18 years old and commit to a 4 hour time slot on Saturday or Sunday.
Program Volunteer: Assist or lead a program area. You'll set-up a program area, lead the program, manage the group, clean up the program area and evaluate the program. You'll be given a program plan and materials for the event, and a program plan ahead of time. Must be able to commit to a 4 hour time block on Saturday or Sunday and have completed your PA or CIT awards if you're under 18.
Health Officer: Serve as the first aider/emergency responder for participants and respond with basic first aid care. Must be over the age of 18 and an advanced healthcare certification is preferred (RN, MD, EMT, Paramedic, Physicians Assistant, etc). A First Aid and CPR certification is required.
Trading Post: Assist with running the trading post (camp store), collecting money, making change, and delivering customer service. Must be a Girl Scout Cadette or above, and be able to commit to a 2-4 hour shift on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Photographer: Capture photographs of Statewide Camporee. Post pictures to our picture site and submit to council communications team for use in news releases and promotions.
Site and Logistics Support: Run errands, transport program materials, ice, etc. pick up trash, deliver water to program areas, help with luggage and parking, etc. Must be a Girl Scout Cadette or above.
Welcome Team: Be available and visible during the Camporee. Be able to answer questions about units, meals, etc. Potentially be assigned to a unit to be the point of contact during the evening hours, gather units in cases of emergency, etc. Check out troops in your assigned unit on Sunday. Must be able to commit to entire day on Friday, Saturday or Sunday (or a combination of those days).
