Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform the assigned lab analysis promptly & accurately.
2. Maintain detailed, neat and comprehensive records of all experiments conducted.
3. To maintain the lab and working environment in a safe and clean condition & always use
necessary PPE.
4. To acquire by repetitive effort extreme accuracy and repeatability in experimental results by
developing superb experimental and observational skills.
5. To work with Production Executives in carrying out lab tests and analysis needed for process
troubleshooting
6. To assist Production Executives in transferring successful experimental modifications from the
lab to plant floor
7. To complete in a timely manner any R&D tasks & assigned experiments
8. To maintain an inventory of R&D Chemicals and Apparatus and keep them in proper working
condition
9. To self-educate in minor repair jobs that are needed to keep lab equipment in good working
order
10. To Familiarize self with all instruments, GCs, and other analytical instruments and be
proficient in their use
11. To Calibrate all Lab / QC instruments against reliable and accurate standards at periodic
intervals
12. To perform experiments at IIT and other external sites for the execution of R&D projects as
required
13. To show initiative in developing solutions to problems and to approach challenges in a willing
manner
14. To acquire knowledge of related function (i.e. QC / Blending) so that you can substitute in
those Departments when the need arises.
