GROUP OVERVIEW: The Arts & Leisure Advisory Group is made up of qualified experts and serves as a consultative body to the Arts & Leisure Operational Committee concerning developing, planning, executing and implementing the Operational Plan.SPECIFIC GROUP DUTIES:• Providing support to our Group Leaders and committee members • Provides views and advice to the Group Leaders on broad policy issues and other matters related to the work of the Arts & Leisure Committee• Provide high-level advice and insight on matters the Committee may face in fulfilling its mission to promote, coordinate, and enhance Arts & Leisure in Henry County
GROUP QUALIFICATIONS:To be considered for the Arts & Leisure Advisory Group, eligible member will be nominated by the Committee Chair or the Committees Group Leaders. Persons nominated as advisory members must be qualified experts in their field (e.g., entertainment law, photography, professional athletes and Arts Teacher, Art Authentication, and Culinary Arts etc.) and have experience in Arts, Leisure, Sport and/or Entertainment. Members are selected by the Operational Committee based on the nominations received, including self-nominations, from any person or organization. As part of the selection process, the Arts & Leisure Operational Committee will consider diversity in terms of geography, specialty, and professional experience.
COMMITTMENTThe Advisory Group meets monthly with the Operational Committee every last Thursday of the month, and members serve one-year terms. Members must attend a minimum of six meetings during their one year term.
