In 2025 Erica Lush became the third ever American to compete in the Solitaire du Figaro. This famous training platform in France is the longest-standing one-design offshore regatta in the world, and is credited with the skills development of many Vendee Globe skippers.

Erica will share her experiences from 2025: Integration into the French training camps, completing her first solo races, the Solitaire itself, and engaging more young sailors in the process.  Please come with questions as we hope this will be engaging and interactive.

With the continued support of the New York Yacht Club's Performance Sailing Fund and the Storm Trysail Club, Erica hopes to be on the start line again in 2026.
