IMPORTANT UPDATE: We have temporarily stopped collecting responses due to limited volunteer capacity. Please check back within the next few days. We appreciate your patience and know this is a difficult time for everyone.
IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE URGENTLY:
RI Pride - https://tinyurl.com/ripridesupplies
- This organization is also providing groceries and supplies. The form to request assistance opens in the morning and closes when they cannot handle more requests, so if you click the link and are not able to submit a request, try again the next day! Filling it out early in the day is recommended.
(401)-675-1414 - AMOR's emergency Support Line. AMOR offers immigration legal support, culturally competent mental health care, support in cases of police violence, interpretation, transportation, and community response/solidarity.
Call 2-1-1 - This phone number is a hot-line set up to provide information on local food banks and other assistance that may be available to you (for example: healthcare, testing clinics, housing). During the day, they have a Spanish language interpreter.
Food Not Bombs - they have groceries available for pickup in Pawtucket once a week. You can send them a message through Facebook or email firstname.lastname@example.org
to request a grocery delivery.
If you cannot receive assistance from the organizations above, these organizations are providing free/reduced-cost food deliveries:
Cartwheel RI - place an order online for delivery on Friday. After placing an order, they will send you a suggested amount to contribute. However, you can contribute whatever you can afford, they process orders regardless of how much you contribute. You can also use SNAP benefits.
