City of Friendswood Booth Form, 2021 4th of July
The City of Friendswood and the 4th of July Steering Committee are now accepting booth applications for the 126th 4th of July Celebration. This annual event bring together thousand of residents with a day full of games, local entertainment, amusement rides, booth vendors and a parade.

The standard outdoor booth space is 10' deep x 10' wide. Opportunities are available for food, crafts, activity, commercial and noncommercial retail vendors. The 126th 4th of July Celebration will be held on Monday, July 5th from 9am-2pm (NOTE-THE DAY PROGRAM IS ON MONDAY, JULY 5TH, THE NIGHT PROGRAM WILL BE ON SUNDAY, JULY 4TH)

• Applications will be reviewed for approval. Participation is not guaranteed.
• Booths may not be combined nor shared.
• Electricity is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis.
• Each vendor will need to provide a 10’ x 10’ tent, table with cover/skirt, chairs.

RULES AND DEFINITIONS FOR BOOTH VENDORS
126th 4th of July Celebration

1. Each vendor must be represented on Friday, July 2, 2021, in Stevenson Park at 1:00 p.m. for assignment of booth space. This meeting will serve as the official notification of booth assignment. Previous participation in the event does not guarantee same booth placement as past year(s). Booth set up or construction may begin as soon as your space is assigned. Police checks will be made periodically from 5:00p.m. until the event; however, the City of Friendswood is not liable for any damage or vandalism to booths set-up prior to the event.

2. All Food/Beverage vendors must obtain a Health Department Permit. Permits can be obtained through the Galveston County Health District Office in La Marque, Texas, and online at www.gchd.org. All food/beverage vendors must be COMPLETELY ready for a Health Department Inspector on the morning of the 4th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Food/Beverage vendors must comply with all rules as issued by the Health Department. A closure of your booth by the Health Department is final. There will be no appeal.

3. Each vendor will provide his or her own tables, chairs and supplies necessary for display. Food/Beverage vendors must supply their own materials to enclose the booth per Health Department requirements.

4. All vendors must obey City, County, State and Federal laws, including fire codes. NO FIREWORKS ARE ALLOWED WITHIN THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD CITY LIMITS.

5. The Fourth of July Steering Committee reserves the right to prohibit booth exhibitors from distributing items and/or printed material which is considered objectionable and/or not in keeping with the character and purpose of the 4th of July Celebration. Materials may only be distributed at your assigned booth location, not throughout the park.

6. In the event of a dispute between a booth vendor and any other entity, the Fourth of July Steering Committee will be the sole judge and the decision of the Committee will be final.

7. VENDOR BEHAVIOR:
Vendors agree to behave in a professional manner or be dismissed from the event grounds without a refund.
Any vendor suspected of alcohol or drug usage during the event, set-up or take-down will be dismissed from
the event without a refund. Excessive complaints (two or more) from event participants, staff, or patrons will
result in dismissal from the event grounds without a refund. In addition, your organization will not be allowed to
participate in future City sponsored events.

8. Forty pound bags of ice are sold at the park for $10.00. EXACT CHANGE IS REQUIRED.

9. Vendor parking will be on Shadwell Dr. next to Stevenson Park. If weather conditions permit, vehicles will be allowed into the park for setup. The owner of any vehicle that creates a rut in the park will be responsible for filling in the rut to the satisfaction of the City of Friendswood. All vehicles must cross the jogging trail in designated location only. Any vehicle that does not adhere to this policy will be removed from the event and will be responsible for repairs to the jogging trail.

10. You may begin selling your product when you are ready, and if required, approved by the Health Inspector. We request that you be prepared to open your booth no later than 9:00 a.m., and be prepared to stay open until the festivities end at approximately 2 p.m. All gate access to the park will be closed from 9:00am-2:00pm.

11. Electricity - Booths that require electricity will so state on the booth application and provide all requested information. An additional charge of $20.00 per 110 volt outlet will be made for this service. Power strips for additional outlets are not permitted. Vendors must provide their own extension cords to the outlets designated for their use.

12. Acceptance of Applications - Guidelines established by the Fourth of July Steering Committee for priority in accepting applications and assigning booth space is as follows:

1. Participation as Booth Vendor in the 2019 4th of July Celebration,
2. Local volunteer groups
3. Local business or resident
4. Date and time of receipt of application
*All booth assignments are subject to approval of the Fourth of July Steering Committee

14. Any violations of these rules on the part of any exhibitor/booth vendor will annul the agreement to occupy park space and such vendors will forfeit all monies paid and will be removed from the park.

15. There are no provisions for a “RAIN DATE!”

16. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed to be sold at this event

17. Food vendors will be staged at the concrete parking lot adjacent to City Hall, we would encourage vendors to
supply their own generator in this location due to electrical will be very limited.

Masks and social distancing are encouraged.
