Arts and Letters is wheelchair accessible. We will reach out ahead of time to ensure you get where you're going with ease.

Will you be arriving in a wheelchair, or do you have other mobility needs that we should be aware of?
Lunch, pastries, coffee, and other light refreshments will be provided throughout the day. We can offer gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options by request. Do you have any dietary restrictions or requirements? Please share those details here. *
Writing workshops will be conducted in spoken English. An ASL interpreter is available by request. Do you have any interpretive needs? *
Tickets for this day-long event are $15 and include lunch and refreshments. For writers with financial need, some scholarships are available. If that's you, please let us know here, and we will reach out to you. *
We are asking retreat participants to wear masks to reduce the risk of exposure to Covid-19. We are also providing a room for breaks from masking for those who need it. What are your masking preferences and needs for the day? *
There are two workshops being offered at the retreat. If you would like to participate in one, please mark your preference below. (We will do our best to place you in your preferred workshop, though we cannot guarantee placement, as space is limited.)

10:30am–12:30pm: Voice/s with Sahra Motalebi. Moving between our individual and collective vocalities, we find unexpected poetics, multiple modes of expression, and listening as an aspect of the voice itself. No previous artistic or vocal experience required. *Masking is optional at this workshop.

1:30–3:30pm: Generative Session with Ishmael Houston-Jones. In this workshop we will use several improvisation strategies to open a free flow of immediate, spontaneous writing, speaking, and movement.
