Remembering Sacred Lives

Human life is precious and sacred, and each individual, no matter who they are, should be able to live in dignity and safety. This value is affirmed in both Muslim and Jewish traditions: as the Quran (5:32) and the Mishnah (Sanhedrin 4:5) remind us:

To take a life is as if destroying all of humanity. To save a life is as if saving all of humanity.

The magnitude of grief and loss from the past year is devastating. Many are feeling alone. Our intention is to come together as a community to honor the memories of sacred lives taken in Gaza, Israel, West Bank, Lebanon AND to support one another in our healing.

Each person is holding grief in a different way, and needs something different. Keeping self-care the highest priority, please join us for any of these offerings in ways you are able. You might want to be in more than one space or just one. Whatever it is for you, we will meet you with love and grace.
