The City Edge Project has partnered with the City of Forest Park to assist the residents of the City of Forest Park with rental assistance for residents that have been affected by Covid-19. The City Edge Project has been given a list of requirements mandated by the City of Forest Park. Residents can receive up to three months of rent, not to exceed $2500. This amount does not include late fees or utilities. This program DOES request landlord to waive late fees. This is a one-time disbursement of rental assistance that will not exceed $2500. If the tenant owes less than $2500.00, the unused balance CANNOT be used at a later time.

Fast Track Rental Assistance Eligibility Checklist
 
Valid Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport with current the City of Forest Park address. (Including all residents in the home over 18).
Covid-19 supporting documentation. **NO at-home test**
Current and signed lease agreement.
Current utility bill in the last 30 days of application.
(Gas, Water, or Light)
Landlord Contact information: Valid Phone and email address
Proof of income
Proof of Unemployment/Claim Filed or Separation Letter on Company Letterhead or Supportive Documentation that your someone in your household has experienced a hardship due to Covid-19
Proof of late rent; Eviction Notice from Landlord or Property Management Company on their letterhead – Must state current full amount due with detailed breakdown of all charges dated within five days of submitting an application

Applications and documents will be reviewed and processed on a case-by-case basis and will be determined based on your hardship due to Covid-19. You must have all the above documentation before the application process can be started. Upon approval, a signed agreement between The City Edge Project and your Landlord must also be processed. Once approved, payment will be made directly to the Landlord or Property Management company (only). This program will provide rental assistance on a one time basis. Once the required processes have been completed, you will be notified of the approval. We look forward to serving you, and the Forest Park Community in excellence and professionalism.

The City Edge Project is funded by the City of Forest Park, Georgia. All requirements are mandated by the Forest Park Government. This program is on a case by case basis.

The Process
If you are approved by The City Edge Project for the Fast Track Rental Assistance Program, a Landlord Agreement will be sent to the Landlord or Property Manager. Once signed, this Landlord Agreement is put into place to prevent you from being evicted.  
This agreement cannot assist in renewing your lease if landlord refuses. Your Landlord must agree to terms of the landlord agreement. If your landlord does not agree to the terms of the agreement or accept payment, then your application will be automatically denied.
