ENCompass Application 2018-2019
DUE THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 13 AT 11:59 PM
Please read through the following and check yes at the bottom to acknowledge you have read and understood: We have weekly meetings Wednesday night at 7pm where we will discuss ENCompass operations and have speaker presentations about current public health issues. In order to eventually run for a position on our exec board you are required to attend at least 70% of all meetings. Even if you do not intend to run for an exec position you are still expected to attend all meetings and trainings. If you miss more than three meetings with no communication to us you will have to meet with an executive board member to discuss your involvement with ENCompass.

Cohort Application
If you are interested in joining the ENCompass team as a cohort member in addition to volunteer, please answer the questions below. The cohort consists of six committees, each with different responsibilities within ENCompass. The committees are as follows:

Site Engagement: This committee creates and oversees all ENCompass volunteer opportunities at our partner sites and individual events. They work to develop new sites, as well as maintain and foster relationships with existing ones. They troubleshoot all site-related issues, and constantly strive to better the ENCompass model.

Membership Development and Recruitment: The Membership Development and Recruitment (MDR) Committee is responsible for bringing in new members, training them, and keeping a high level of dedication, education, and interest throughout the year. Specifically, they run all recruitment related events (Involvement Fair, speaking in classes, breakout sessions), the recruitment process (applications, interviews), volunteer training (orientation program, follow up training sessions), and continued education (speakers, poverty simulations). They strive to make the new volunteer process as accessible and efficient as possible, and promote continued passion and dedication for the cause.

IT (Information Technology): The IT Committee primarily oversees FoodBank Manager, Trello, online resources, and all other internal communications. They are responsible for fixing all technological issues, and looking for innovative ways to make our systems more efficient.

Public Relations (PR): The PR Committee manages all external communications through the ENCompass website, social media accounts, and marketing materials. They develop in-house marketing materials and work with outside marketing groups such as Union marketing.

Outreach: The Outreach Committee plans and hosts fundraising events, and explores other potential sources of funding (grants, etc.). They also create and foster relationships with donors and other community partners. Additionally, they work with the Treasurer to manage the financial needs of the volunteer sites and the organization. Finally, they oversee our legal responsibilities, like designing and maintaining consent forms or informing volunteers of rules regarding confidentiality and HIPAA.

Research and Data Analytics: This committee conducts research, primarily on the efficacy of the ENCompass service model, the quality of the recommended sources, the demographics and needs of the client base at each service site, and the effectiveness of the current volunteer training program. They are also responsible for presenting and publishing research findings to disseminate gained knowledge to the academic, healthcare, and service communities.
