As a participant in the Hopkins County Dairy Festival, I agree to:

1. Arrive with a CURRENT private or commercial LTA Free Balloon License. This means a current BFR. My balloon will be airworthy with a current annual, and I will have my 90 day currency prior to arrival at the festival.

2. Make Airworthiness Certificate, Registration Certificate, Pilot Certificate, Medical Certificate and Aircraft logbooks and Pilot logbooks available at registration.

3. Cooperate fully with the event officials with regard to safety regulations, rules and judgments of officials. The Balloonmeister's word is final.

4. Have balloon insurance in force that provides $100,000 minimum property damage, $100,000 minimum passenger liability for each and every passenger I carry, and $1,000,000 minimum combined single limit liability through an insurance company with the BEST rating of at least B+ or its equivalent.

5. Prior to the event, I will have my insurance company provide a Certificate of Insurance stating coverage listed in item 4 above.

6. Attend all pilot meetings.

7. Provide a sponsor rides for two. If you plan to fly a balloon that will only be able to carry one passenger please be prepared to make two sponsor flights and, if asked, fly a sponsor’s banner on your basket during the entire event.

8. Not allow student pilots to be pilot in command at any time.

9. Use a safety restraint during all launches and TWO TIE-OFFS DURING ALL GLOWS AND/OR TETHERS.

10. I am aware of and agree with the responsibility legally transferred to me under the FARs as regard to my personal decision to fly my balloon, and bodily injury or property damage resultant therefore is solely my liability. I further agree that none of the flights are mandatory and that I will make all flights at my option. My decisions as Pilot in Command may affect my placement in this event if I choose not to fly.

11. I understand and agree that as Pilot in Command, I am in full and complete charge and control of my balloon and am responsible for all decisions made concerning same and all things and persons in or connected with my balloon both on the ground and in the air. Officials of this event may supply information, guidance or data, but I understand that I act or rely on such information at my own peril and that the officials assume no responsibility for the completeness or accuracy of such information.

12. I give permission, without any restriction, to Hopkins County Dairy Festival to use still photographs, motion pictures and sound recordings of me, my balloon, equipment, chase crew members, employees, and agents for any news, advertising, or promotional media and commercial uses.

13. I understand this entry agreement, the event rules, registration, and entry form, contain all the terms and conditions agreed to by the parties hereto, and no other agreements or discussion, oral or written, regarding the subject matter of the Agreement shall be deemed to exist or bind any of the parties hereto.

14. I agree that the organizers and sponsors of this event are providing me with the facilities and means for my participation in this event and in no way do they supersede the responsibility of the Pilot in Command as shown in the Federal Aviation Regulations or otherwise. This, I release the aforementioned from liability for my actions in relation to the Hopkins County Dairy Festival which may arise out of or result from or in any manner be connected with the balloon flight or activity in which I participate as a pilot-in-command.

15. I hereby declare that I am participating in the Hopkins County Dairy Festival of my own free will and that I accept the Rules and Regulations and any changes and additions.
