Fernley Performing Arts Mission Statement

We provide quality, age-appropriate instruction to inspire and uplift all ages to express and share the art of dance & music.  We are a non-competitive studio with a focus on technique, expression and creativity.  Our goal is to focus on each individual student and to help increase their love of dance, music and performance.


As a dance teacher at Fernley Performing Arts, I agree to:

  • Show up for each class I am scheduled to teach.

  • Provide quality instruction, discipline and a positive atmosphere for my class.

  • Find a substitute dance teacher if I know I will be absent.

  • Call Nicole or Mirandy for any last-minute sub emergencies.

  • Communicate with the parents of my dancers for any last-minute cancellations.

  • Schedule a make-up class if needed.

  • Choose music, costumes and choreography that are age appropriate and avoid any suggestive, demeaning or provocative language, style or movement.

  • Be available for both the dress rehearsal and the recital.

  • Receiving a wage starting at $24.00 per class taught and $12.00 per class assisted.  Also, a $12/hour admin rate for dress rehearsal and recital hours.
