Types of Membership
- World Language or University student
If you are a full-time World Languages student at an Oklahoma university, and you are NOT attending the Fall Conference, you MUST fill out this membership form and pay for membership on our website. If you plan on attending any of our conferences this year you must also fill out any registration forms so that we know you are attending.
World Language education students are eligible for FREE Membership by applying for the Nancy Boles Scholarship on our website
Scholarships. Nancy Boles was a student at the University of Oklahoma when she passed away. The scholarship is funded through donations to OFLTA. Each year we have a limited number of scholarships to awarded to students studying World Languages at Oklahoma universities.
Scholarship deadline for 2025-2026 school year is September 1st. Scholarship recipients will be notified via email by our Executive Secretary.
- 1st Year Teachers (New to the profession, or 1st year teaching World Languages)
If you are an Entry-Year World Languages Teacher, and you are NOT attending the Fall Conference you MUST fill out this membership form. If you plan to attend any of our conferences this year you complete registration forms so that we know you are attending.
If you are a K-16 teacher in a public, private, or charter school in Oklahoma
who plans to attend the 2025 Fall Conference, please do
NOT fill out this form. Please register on Eventbrite. Registration for the Fall Conference
INCLUDES membership.
**If you pay for membership and change your mind about attending the Fall Conference, please email Whitney at whitneystaffordnajib@mooreschools.com and I will invoice you for the difference.**
Lifetime Membership is calculated at 10x the current yearly dues ($35 x 10 = $350). Lifetime Membership is valid even after retirement! We welcome our retired Lifetime members to conferences and workshops! Current Lifetime members do not fill out this form but should register for any conference or workshop and pay the Lifetime member registration on Eventbrite.
Associate Membership is for retired K-16 public, private, and charter school teachers who are NOT Lifetime members, but who wish to stay connected to OFLTA and attend conferences and workshops.

Why Join OFLTA?
Membership in OFLTA gives you reduced rates for the Winter Workshop and the Spring Conference, voting rights at our conference business meetings, eligibility to serve on the OFLTA Board, as well as eligibility to nominate and receive OFLTA and SWCOLT awards and scholarships.
OFLTA is at the forefront of legislation and advocacy for World Languages in Oklahoma. OFLTA belongs to a network of advocacy organizations like ACTFL and JNCL-NCLIS.
OFLTA provides up-to-date, research-based professional development that recognizes the diversity of our community.
