1. As this event is a major fundraiser for Sakura Foundation, vendors selling products/services agree to donate 10% of their pre-tax sales via check made payable to Sakura Foundation by 5:00pm on Sunday, June 28, 2026, otherwise, the vendor will be required to pay 30% of pre-tax sales no later than July 31, 2026. These funds are considered unrestricted donations. Festival reps will distribute a donation form and collect participation donations from each booth on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Checks should be made payable to Sakura Foundation.
2. On both days, set up begins no earlier than 7:30 a.m. and booths should be ready for sales promptly at 11:00 a.m. Booths may be disassembled on or after 6:00 p.m. on Sat, June 27 and 4:00 p.m. on Sun, June 28. Each vendor is responsible for the set up and take down of their booth. Booths must be staffed at all times and vendors are responsible for providing their own relief for breaks and lunch. You are welcome to purchase festival food from the outdoor Temple booth or inside the Temple gym - it's delicious!
3. Vendors are highly encouraged to bring their own banner to draw attention to their booth. The size of the sign should not obstruct the view of the adjacent booths.
4. Off-duty Denver police officers will patrol the festival hours and during the night, but you are responsible for protecting your property. Items left in your booth are at your own risk. We highly encourage you to take your merchandise and valuables out of the booth overnight. Additionally, do not leave valuables on the ground/near the edges of your booth during the festival where they may be stolen.
5. Festival Organizers have a sustainability plan for the festival through which we recycle plastic bottles, cardboard, and glass. Please place smaller recyclable items in the festival recycling bins. Larger items can be picked up by festival volunteers or left in your booth on Sunday for recycling - just be sure to notify us that you have recycling items.
6. At the close of the festival Sunday evening, remove all of your belongings from your booth and pick up any trash in and around the booth area. Please have your
merchandise cleared in order for table and tent removal NO LATER THAN 5:30PM on Sun,
June 28, 2026. If you have not vacated your space at that time, festival staff will help move your belongings and will not be responsible for any damage or loss incurred.
7. Vendors will be responsible for calculating and collecting their own sales tax (city, state, and federal). Festival Organizers will email sales tax information to you before the festival.
8. Due to health regulations, food items may not be sold by merchandise vendors, whether it is packaged or not. There is a separate application and licensing requirements for food vendors.
9. Alcohol and drug consumption, vaping, and smoking are not allowed by marketplace vendors during festival hours.
10. In order to prevent overloading of the generators, no unauthorized electrical equipment or devices will be permitted. Electrical use is limited to phone chargers and the like unless a request for additional power is indicated on your application.
11. Subletting your booth is expressly prohibited. Only vendors named on this application form are permitted to participate in the festival. If subletting is discovered, all involved vendors will be asked to leave the festival and no refunds will be provided.
12. Vendors will be asked to remove non-approved or offending products/items immediately. Vendors must have proof that they are allowed to sell licensed products. The Festival Organizers will not be liable for items sold by vendors that carry a warranty.
13. Booth assignments will be made by the Festival Organizers. No requests from vendors are guaranteed.
14. There is no rain date for the festival. No fees will be refunded due to the
cancellation of the festival due to acts of nature or due to events beyond the control of Festival Organizers. Additionally, vendors who wish to cancel their booth space must do so by email to StaceyS@SakuraFoundation.org no later than April 30, 2026 and will be refunded fees paid. There will be no refunds given after that date.
15. Vendors shall permit photographs and video recording of their booths, employees, and agents. All photographs and video footage shall be the sole property of Sakura Foundation and may be used by Festival Organizers in any manner or media without obligation to vendor. Please inform Festival Organizers via email to info@sakurafoundation.org no later than May 20, 2026 if you choose to opt-out of being photographed/videoed.
16. Vendor application acceptance will be based on the following:
- Fulfillment of the required Japanese/Japanese American theme for merchandise offered by vendor.
- Variety of vendor products. We are committed to providing our attendees with a wide variety of high-quality Japanese-themed products. However, there may be some overlap in the similarity of products sold by another vendor. These decisions will be made at the discretion of the Festival Organizers and should be respected by all vendors.
- Previous vendor participation in the Denver Cherry Blossom Festival.
