About the Georgetown University First Chance Lecture Seminar
Founded in 2009, the First Chance Lecture Seminar represents a unique opportunity to showcase the talent of dynamic, engaging, and stimulating seniors. The Seminar gives seniors a platform to explain, “What I wish everyone knew about my academic passion.”
The event features several seniors, each speaking for 10-15 minutes and fielding questions from the audience.
The Seminar is hosted by the Georgetown University Lecture Fund, the Senior Class Committee, and the Georgetown College.
About the Application Process:
Applicants must be Georgetown University seniors graduating in the calendar year 2012. Seniors from all areas of study are encouraged to apply!
Applications must be submitted by 11:59pm on Sunday, March 25th, 2012
Applicants who are invited to an interview must be available to present to the Application Committee for 10 minutes in the evening of Sunday, April 1st. Conflict interviews on Tuesday, April 3rd.
Selected speakers will be notified on April 5th, 2012.
Seniors selected to feature at the event must be available on Thursday, April 12th, 2012, between 5:30pm and 7:30pm to present for 10-15 minutes and be honored at the Seminar.
