2020 Open Cloud Workshop Talk and Poster Proposal Form
Thank you for your interest in presenting at the Open Cloud Workshop, March 2-3, 2020 at Boston University.
The Open Cloud Workshop has opened a call for proposals for talks and posters to be presented during the workshop. Please use this form to submit your proposal. Submissions are due by Wednesday, February 12, 2020.
Talks can be on any subject related to the MOC, OCT, OIL, NERC or any other related initiative. Specific areas suggested include:
- upcoming activities in the MOC, Open Cloud Testbed, or Open Infrastructure Labs
- research in open and hybrid clouds
- research on the MOC
- software technologies for open and hybrid clouds
- accelerators and other platform innovations
- hybrid cloud storage
Description of talk and poster commitment:
1. 10 - 15 minute Micro-talk (generally with slides) (Note 10-minutes is the default but talks of up to 15 minutes would be considered)
2. Participation in brief Q&A panel with other speakers from the segment during which you spoke
3. Poster - Printed mounted poster or, if available, e-board - we ask that you make yourself as available as possible during meals and networking slots
This call for talk and poster proposals closes on February 12. Submissions will be reviewed by the Open Cloud Workshop Paper/Poster Review Committee. A member of the committee will be in touch by the week of February 17 to provide an update on your proposal and to discuss next steps. Criteria for talks/posters include relevance to the MOC/OCT/related initiatives, novelty, interest to a broad spectrum of attendees and alignment with workshop goals.
If you are planning to attend the workshop, please make sure you have filled out the registration form. Talks will be scheduled on both days of the workshop (March 2 and 3) - the timing of the segments each day is tbd (but will be during one of the slots listed as "Segment" on the Workshop page:
