Take the first step in volunteering with us! We are always looking for new volunteers to work on our team. If you are interested in getting very involved in a non-profit/rescue/shelter, this is your spot to do so. We are open to any and all skills or background that you may bring to the table!
OCTOBER 2022 UPDATES: (PLEASE READ)
We are looking for the following specialized volunteers / people to join our team:
• VOLUNTEER MANAGER: conduct orientations once trained, 1 weekend day, supervise events with 5-10 volunteers
• OUTREACH COORDINATOR: we're working on a few projects, and we need a team to make it happen!
PROJECT 1: clothing sales for rescue - big project that we're building; the idea is to take in donations for mid/high-end clothing and sell them at different spots around LA county in pop-up shop form
PROJECT 2: setting up adoption events - reaching out to local Petsmart/Petco's to see if we can collaborate with other organizations, working with other businesses to plan adoption events, making materials etc
PROJECT 3: outreach to local cafes / vet spots / grooming salons - set up donation boxes, set up posters etc.
PROJECT 4: animal advocate binders - make binders for animals who have been with us for a long time to be dropped off at vet offices, grooming salons, and other pet-related businesses
You do not necessarily need extensive experience to help us with the above positions. These are NON-paid positions!
Once you fill out this app, we'll help to set up a time for you to come in to have an orientation which should take around 30 minutes or so. You may stay for additional time (however long you wish) after the orientation to help tidy things up and walk a few dogs & play with our cats!
General volunteer hours are between 10 AM - 3 PM all days of the week once you are trained. You may come in anytime once fully trained.
