Cross-Cultural Communication and Intersectionality
When: October 6, 2017 (9:00 am--2:00 pm) Where: Graland Country Day School (55 Clermont St., Denver)

This workshop will present the ways in which cultural values, power, privilege and differences affect how we communicate, will provide tools for questioning assumptions and will offer ways to improve cross-cultural communication skills. Participants will learn strategies and best practices to take back to their school communities to make sure that our schools are places where all children can thrive.

The Colorado Diversity Network is a consortium of ACIS schools dedicated to creating collaborative faculty and staff training around issues of equity, inclusion, and diversity.

2017-2018 CDN Members are: Boulder Country Day School, Colorado Academy, Dawson School, Denver Academy, Graland Country Day School, Kent Denver School, St. Anne's Episcopal School, and St. Mary's Academy.
