a little about Trudy
Prior to becoming a rug hooker in 2008 Trudy Bolduc had an extensive background in quilting and folk art painting. She operated a teaching studio for several years and her first choice was painting on wooden surfaces, in particular wooden boxes which she had custom made for her projects.
Since starting rug hooking Trudy has had her work exhibited in a fine art juried shown under mixed medium and on the cover of the Ontario Rug Hooking magazine and calendar. She has also exhibited at rug hooking shows in Ontario, Florida and Arizona. Trudy prefers to create her own designs, some of which she has taught but has on occasion hooked other artist’s designs particularly for learning specific technique. To better learn rug hooking and wool dying she has attend classes throughout Canada and the United States.
Although Trudy still enjoys many art forms she claims rug hooking as her preferred art at this time.
