Please let us know if you are interested in attending a six hour Sew Powerful Purse workshop. We are trying to get an idea of how many might attend, so we can reserve the right accommodations. Will there be 20-25 or 50-75, or somewhere inbetween? When it gets closer to the date, we will let you know the location and if there will be a minimal ($5-10) cost to attend.
This Purse Project links seamstresses (that's us) from around the world to combat extreme poverty by providing reusable feminine hygiene supplies and health training to girls in Zambia. We make the purses, women in Zambia are employed to make the hygiene supplies. This enables them to attend school all month and improve their academic performance.
