Every year, the Top of the Rockies competition honors four individuals for the excellence in journalism. Categories include Journalist of the Year, Freedom of Information, the Keeper of the Flame and Educator of the Year. Nominees must reside in Colorado.

Nomination applications are accepted until noon on April 2, 2023.
