CHPA Volunteers
Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer/ mentor for the Community Health Professions Academy (CHPA). As a health professional student, you will be asked to assist with hands-on activities, participate on a student/professional panel and provide advice for a community health education project. The time commitment is approximately 2-5 hours on Saturdays ranging from January to May.
The Community Health Education Project will consist of a presentation in any format about a health issue that a scholar group chooses. A scholar group will consist of approximately 3-5 students. They will be tasked with developing an educational presentation on a health issue, ideally including cultural or community issues, and present on that topic during their graduation from the CHPA program in May.
If you are interested in being a mentor, please let us know in this google form and we will send further information on the specifics of the project. If you are enrolled in Health and Homelessness at the School of Dentistry, this counts towards your hours for Winter and Spring Quarters.
