Grievance process: Concerns, Feedback & Accountability

How Body Compass Inc. holds this

I work in close, often vulnerable territory with people. Because I hold more structural power in this relationship — as the practitioner, the program lead, the one who designed the container — it's my responsibility to make it possible for you to bring me something that didn't sit right, without you having to find perfect words for it, or worry about what it might cost you to say.

This page is here so that responsibility doesn't rest on you staying quiet.

What you're welcome to bring

  • Something that left you uneasy, even if you can't fully name why
  • A boundary or pacing issue
  • Something about a session, a program choice, or how something was held
  • A pattern that's bothered you, even one you've second-guessed yourself about

You don't need to be certain, articulate, or able to prove anything for it to be worth raising.

Ways to reach me about it (other than the form below)

1. The form (often the easiest route)
This lets you take your time, write at your own pace, and share something without having to manage my reaction in the moment. Keep scrolling to find my full grievance form.

2. Directly with me
You're welcome to email me at contact@bodycompass.me. Direct contact is one option among several — not the expected one.

3. Through someone else
If it doesn't feel right to come to me directly or through the form, you can ask me for an alternative contact — someone outside our working relationship who can hold this instead. No explanation needed.

What happens after you share something

Whatever you bring will be taken seriously and acknowledged. It won't be waved off as a misunderstanding without real thought first. Depending on what it is, that might mean a conversation, a change to how I do something, or bringing it to my own supervision. Not everything leads to the same outcome — but everything is treated as real signal, not noise.

Timing

You can bring something to me at any point — there's no window that closes. Things raised closer to when they happened are often easier to do something meaningful with, but that doesn't mean something raised later won't be heard with the same care.

You don't have to prove anything

I'm not going to ask you to convince me something happened, or to manage how I feel about hearing it. Your experience of impact is the thing I'm responding to — not a case you have to build.

This isn't the same as a refund request

Concerns about how something felt or was handled are held separately from the financial terms of our work together, which live in your cancellation & participation policy. Bringing a concern here doesn't mean automatic agreement with every request, and it isn't the same conversation as a billing one.

You won't be penalized for this

Telling me something didn't sit right with you will never cost you warmth, standing, or care in our work together. If that ever happened, I'd consider it a serious breach on my part, full stop.

This isn't a one-time thing for me

I stay in supervision, and I look at patterns in my own work over time — not just individual moments. This page exists because I want to keep getting better at this, not because I think I've already arrived.
