Outcomes: 2 to 5 short stories ready to be revised for the Creative Writing Arts Supplement

In this intensive 3 weeks of writing, students will delve into the fundamentals of storytelling in language. Students will gain an understanding of how to tell great stories in a short story format, the relationship between storytelling structure and transformation, how to bring poetry into their fiction, and how to collaborate on storytelling. Each step in this process is an integral part of developing a strong body of writing and a key to what colleges are looking for in a sophisticated writing portfolio supplement. This intensive is great for students who are looking to grow their creative writing skills, edit old work with fresh outlooks, write exciting new work, and dig deeper into the core themes of their portfolios.
