About the Friend of Education Award:
School public relations is more than a one-person or one-department job. With that in mind, OHSPRA annually sponsors the Friend of Education Award to recognize those unofficial members of the school public relations team. Recipients can be individuals or groups of students, parents, volunteers, employees or community partners.

Eligibility Guidelines (please follow Eligibility Guidelines exactly or entry will be disqualified):
- Entry must be electronically submitted by Thursday, January 16, 2025.
- Entry fee must be postmarked by Feb. 24, 2025. Invoices will be sent the week of Jan. 27, 2025.
- Only OHSPRA members may submit nominations for the Friend of Education Award.
- A member may submit only one nomination per year.
- Nominees must have made a significant contribution to school public relations efforts, outside of their typical job description, in Ohio within the 2024-2025 school year (or longer).

- All nominations must include answers to the following questions:
1. How has this person/group contributed to or impacted school/district/organization public relations efforts?
2. Are the contributions of this person/group part of their typical job description/service offerings?

Judging Criteria:
• Impact on school public relations efforts in Ohio within the 2024-2025 school year (or longer).

Entry Fee and Submission:
NOTE: OHSPRA members include only those people who have purchased a membership for the current membership year

OHSPRA MEMBERS: $75 NON-MEMBERS: $100

NOTE: Mail any printed support materials to: OHSPRA, P.O Box 891, Columbus, OH 43085. Materials will not be returned and become the property of OHSPRA. Submit payment to: OHSPRA, P.O Box 891, Columbus, OH 43085. Make checks payable to OHSPRA. Appropriate payment must be submitted to OHSPRA with a postmark date of Monday, February 24, 2025 or before to avoid disqualification. OHSPRA cannot accept purchase orders. Fees cannot be returned.
