Mission Creek Festival 2025 Volunteer Sign-Up
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at  Mission Creek Festival!

Mission Creek Festival is a 3-day music and literature festival that takes place every spring in downtown Iowa City, Iowa. We host events indoors at traditional venues and local shops converted into performance spaces solely for the festival.

This year’s events will take place on April 3-5, 2025. Below, we have listed the types of volunteer shifts needed and would like you to rank your preferences of volunteer roles. We will do our best to assign you one of your top choices but appreciate your willingness to help where needed. Each volunteer gets a free pass to the festival. *Volunteers must be 16 years or older.

*Please note- there are a limited amount of volunteer slots. Filling out this form does not guarantee you will be granted a volunteer position.

Volunteer Job Descriptions
Merchandise Assistant: Assist in artist merchandise sales at assigned venues.

Production Assistant (Stagehand) - Music: Assist in moving equipment on/off stage at the direction of the venue and artist production teams.

Production Assistant - Literature: Assist with literary events as directed by the event staff, such as lightweight tech set-up and room set-up.

Social Media Assistant: Capture Instagram phone content for social media usage throughout the festival.

Festival Pass Pickup Booth: Assist with the distribution of festival passes and wristbands for patrons. 

Hospitality Assistant- Assists with artist rider shops, creating hospitality baskets and more.
