Spring 2020 USF CERT Basic Training
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates individuals about disaster preparedness and trains and organizes teams of volunteers that can support their communities during disasters. The CERT Program offers training in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations. With proper CERT training, you can help protect your family, neighbors, and co-workers if a disaster occurs.
The course includes six sections: Disaster Preparedness, Fire Safety & Suppression, Hazardous Material and Terrorist Incidents, Disaster Medical Operations, and Search & Rescue, and a Practical Exercise.
To become a CERT member, one must complete the classroom training being offered to USF students, staff, and faculty for FREE. Training will occur over the course of three days, all participants must attend all three days of training to receive their CERT Basic Training Certificate.

The Spring 2020 course will take place on the following dates (MUST ATTEND ALL DATES):
Thursday, January 9th from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Friday, January 10th from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Saturday, January 11th from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Location: College of Nursing (MDN) Room 2002
Registration is Required, space is Limited, and attendees must complete all three days of training for certification!
