"Grace Classes" are thoughtfully coordinated and determined by the Discipleship Leadership Team made up of several lay leaders and in communication with the pastors and ministry staff. We will be offering thematic classes consistent with the following "Channels" (areas of study):
WELCOME: Classes dedicated to very brief introductory topics which relate directly to Grace Mills River. Our new members class will fall under this heading
RENEW: Classes dedicated to personal spiritual understanding, growth and gospel-centric paradigm shifts.
STUDY: Classes in this "channel" cover such topics as theology, individual Bible book studies, how to study the Bible, church history, etc.
RELATE: These classes are designed to help us begin, improve and maintain healthy gospel-centric relationships with all relational aspects. You can expect classes like facing death, preparing for marriage, raising toddlers, marriage enrichment, grieving, various types of mental illnesses, divorce recovery, building strong friendships, etc.
ENGAGE: These practical discussion and action oriented classes help us to explore, engage and use our resources/gifts within our various circles of relationships and responsibilities outside of the church such as our work associates, fellow students, neighbors, community groups, challenging careers, local missions, foreign missions, etc.
EQUIP: These classes equip people understand, integrate, replicate and communicate the gospel message with others inside or outside of the church. In short, you can expect classes that provide "fertile soil to grow future and current ministry leaders and communicators.
Several of our Grace Classes are available in more than one format to make discipleship more accessible for everyone so if you are busy, travel a lot, home-bound or live outside of the area, you can take advantage of the format that best suits your lifestyle and needs.
"Face2Face" is a traditional class that meets together in the same venue at the indicated time.
"Live Online via Zoom" is for those who cannot be present in person but you are able to join the class at the time indicated from a remote location using a smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop device.
"Self-Paced via Online Video" is designed for those who cannot be present in person or at the time the class meets. Once you register for this format, you will be sent electronic handouts (if applicable) and a video link in the days following each live class. You can then take your time working through the class at your own pace. Someone from the class Round Table will be in touch with you from time to time for discussion and interaction. We simply ask that if you are planning to register for the self-paced class that you fully complete to series within 6 months of the class start date.
Please register for the format that best suits you. If you have any additional questions about the classes offered this Spring, please pick up a brochure and/or contact John Shelley at email@example.com
