LOBI DA BASI (Sranan Tongo for “Love is the Boss”) is a multidisciplinary arts event where love takes centre stage, as healing and as a source of connection.
Organized by community platform FALUMA, dedicated to amplifying Afro-diasporic stories in the Netherlands, this event offers a warm space where queer BIPOC love can be celebrated - without explanation and without apologies.

EVENT FLOW

During the evening we’ll move between three different spaces in the building (two are on the same floor). Don’t worry - our team will guide you through every step of the way.

TIMETABLE

Doors open at 17:30 | Feel free to grab yourself a drink on the top floor at Cafe Restaurant Flora
We’ll start at 18:00 in the 4th floor stairwell (just below the top floor).
From there, we’ll walk upstairs together to start the film screening at 18:30 sharp. The film unfortunately cannot start later, so we’ll have to keep a tight schedule.
After the film, there will be a short break to relax and grab a drink at Café Restaurant Flora, right on the same floor.
From 20:30 we’ll continue with the rest of the performances and exhibition.

In case you can’t make it at 18:00 join us after the movie at 20:30

ACCESSIBILITY

Apart from the film rooms, there aren’t permanent seating areas. If you need a chair (for example if standing/walking is difficult), please let us know in advance so we can arrange this for you.
The building has an elevator and Faluma team members will be available to guide and support you throughout the evening
