FIRST Robotics Team 2481 Roboteers 2020 Team Application
Team 2481 is a FIRST Robotics team out of Tremont, IL that competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition. FIRST is a non-profit organization, which promotes science and technology. We are a community based team and accept public, private, and home school students. We have been in existence for 12 years and have done extraordinary things in that time. Students will work with engineers and professionals from local companies and businesses to design and build a 125 lb. robot in six weeks, develop/lead outreach activities for local communities, and complete team award submissions. We have activities and meet year round; however, the build- season starts in early January and goes to about mid-February. During this time, students are required to put in 12+ hours a week. The team travels extensively during the competition season, which is late February through April depending on the events the team signs up for and how far we advance. During competition season, students are expected to continue being active members on the team, attend competitions, and attend meetings.

Some student expectations include:
- High school age
- Adhere to the Roboteers Team 2481 Handbook
- Put in a minimum of 12 hours per week during the build and competition seasons
- Set up an account on team forum and check it regularly
